Requirements:


Due to our continuing expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a HGV driver to join our team. The successful candidate will have to possess a certain level of physical fitness, as they will assist the driver’s mate with loading and unloading of goods. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

• A clean valid Drivers Licence, with entitlement to drive Cat C HGV vehicle

• No penalties or endorsements

•Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude

About the role:

 

Our WEEE Recycling operation forms an important part of the business, providing an environmental solution for the growing volume of waste electronic and electrical equipment produced in the UK. As a a HGV Driver, you will support the compliant and safe collection and delivery of WEEE waste to and from our site in Govan. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below:
 

  •  

·        Operating commercial vehicles up to and over 7.5 tonnes

 ·        Driving long or short distances

 ·        Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers

·        Loading and unloading goods

·        Lifting and carrying goods

·        Making sure loads are safely secured

·        Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary

·        Completing delivery paperwork

·    Keeping up-to-date logbooks

·        Maintain housekeeping at acceptable standards

·        Carrying out basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks

Candidate requirements:

·        Excellent time keeping

·        Good knowledge of public safety and security

·        Ability to follow instructions with excellent attention to detail

·        Flexible and open to change

·        Excellent approach to customer service
